"Everybody Serves Somebody. We Choose to Serve You as We Serve Our Savior." Kim Addis
SOS accounts for 300 Salvations for Christ. The testimonies of the some twenty-three dance members share personal testimonies of how their walk has become closer to Jesus. As a team they focus on keeping beat.
In unity, they serve each heart beat.
When you hear a song do you visualize yourself worshiping God through the words? If you “see worship” you could be a worshiper who worships in “Spirit and in truth,” just as Jesus said we would someday worship Him. God’s love releases His children’s feet intoaction. Since our faith is dead without works then our worship can be no different. Active worship is just that: active worship. This is the season for the Church to utilize the arts as ministry tools to reach a visual but lost world.
The newest video of High School Musical used talented dancers to energize their music. What is the difference between dancing to a beat and worshiping through dance?
Christians dance an act of worship to God, as a sacrifice of praise. Christian dance comes from the heart as well as from their feet. Their anointed beauty is released as a gift, or sacrifice, as praise to God, not to others. Professional dancersperfect their abilities and perform to entertain man. King David was so overwhelmed with the joy of the Lord that he danced in the streets. He wasn’t ashamed to acknowledge or praise his God. Are you? What is it aboutoutward service that stifles, frightens, and squelches believers? If we aregoing to worship Him in Spirit and in truth we must first allow the Word of Godto travel from our minds, where we believe, down into our hearts, where wereceive Him, then into our feet. What better way to show someone the grace of God than to willfully sacrifice your whole being through dance? Don’t confusegracefulness, like dancing without slamming your face into your two left feet, with true grace. God didn’t give us what we deserved, but instead gives usbetter than what we do deserve. True grace deserves to be treated like the giftit is. Got two left feet? Don’t get ‘left out’ when it comes to worship!
